With that technology the .223 is indistiguishable from a fully automatic in my opinion.

Some perspective. An old DoD WWII training film indicated that the M1 (8 shot clip) was around 3 times as effective as a bolt action Springfield. Wonder how they would have rated a 30 round magazine .223 against non-protected close quarter targets?

There is a video circulating on what to do in a threat situation. It shows a guy using a pump action shotgun. Someone should make a comparable video as to what it is like to be fired upon with a 30 round magazine.

Ironically the 100 round drum magazine in Denver might have saved lives because the most dangerous weapon jammed. Don't want to count on that in the future. The only equivalent lethality to something like a 100 round drum magazine would be a bomb which is much harder to pull off.
