It seems to me that the rich can afford to shut everything down for a little while, in order to keep their tax breaks. Sure, they'd love to continue to make money off of even a lackluster economy, but they (and their Repuke allies) have the staying power to get through a few months of a full governmental shutdown caused by refusing to extend the debt ceiling.

That's the uber-joker that the President isn't holding in your graphic.
