Working class (which is what most of us are) won't see that steep a rise, but they might lose up to fifteen bucks a week out of the paycheck. Yes, this will damage the economy.

The Republicans have got to have their feet held to the fire on this one, restore those tax breaks for working class people. It's either that or a huge hike in the minimum wage. Twenty bucks an hour sounds fair to me.

The Republicans have choked off the demand side for 32 years now. None of it has supplied prosperity outside the 1% and most people in the bottom 99% are hitting that wall of desperation because of it.

This is one thing the president dares not back down on again. Tax cuts for plutocrats who don't need them are an abomination. Tax hikes for the rest of us will choke off more of the demand side and kill the economy.
