35. Things on the ground are looking up in Ohio as well

... can't say I know why, but at least the giant "Obama is an economic terrorist" sign has disappeared from my neighborhood. There are a spattering of us in upper-suburbia with Obama yard sign, and the grade school kids in my daughter's class have voted for Obama, whereas my daughter's own informal poll last week was heavily in favor of Romney.

I think the kill shot was in the third debate. Every upper-middle manager of a small- or mid-cap company knows what vulture capital is, and when they hear Romney flip-flopping around like a slimy fish out of water about his position on the auto-bailout, and beleive me whether you work in law or banking or advertising or pretty much anything, a lot of your livelihood around here is tied to the auto supply chain, they lost a bit of the wind from their pro-Romney economic thinking as he stood up for the vultures, and refused to acknowledge that the Federal orchestrated auto-rescue in fact did work.

The whole day in polling was brutal for Romney.* DrToast Oct 2012 #1
