You said it exactly correct. There is nothing that they can do -or say- to nuffily with this brilliant black man, in spite of everything they have tried so far, so they resent and hate him. It merely shows low small their little brains are! You would think that they would appreciate someone with some intelligence, but I imagine that would de-legitimitize their "superiority". That's enough to make them "sick as a dog"-typical! If they are not the master, no one else can be. Reeks of jealousy also!
