52. We have to get to a bottom line, don't we?

and isn't that bottom line how safe we are?

We have never been safer and next year we will be even safer yet.

And lets not forget one salient fact - gun violence in America is not evenly distributed. Where I live is just as safe as any other developed nation. Our murder rates are skewed by the war on drugs - so lets fix that problem.

The following steps would drastically reduce gun violence in America:

1. Legalize drugs. Removes the profit motive and empties our prisons of non-violent offenders

2. Focus the justice system on violent offenders. Use a gun in a crime and get locked up for a very long time.

3. Fully fund mental health.
