11. To be clear, none of the dealers is breaking the law since:

(1) They have already run the federally-required NICS; and
(2) The dealers have waited the state-mandated seven (7) day maximum for a customer to receive a firearm.

It seems the state of Maryland has set up another hoop for gun-owners, then promptly tripped on it. If it enacts an evidently redundant law, yet can't administer it, that only de-legitimizes the whole notion of governance.

Has the Maryland "assault-style weapon ban" gone into effect?
