LDS refers to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or more commonly known as Mormons. I'm a member of the church, and when I was poking through the stock avatar photos they had this one of the angel Moroni, a prominent symbol of the church who appears on the top of all our temples in reference to the scripture Revelation 14:6. If you know many Mormons you will often see them with rings that have a shield and the initials CTR. It stands for choose the right as a constant reminder to make good choices, hence my original admiration for your previous comment. It would have been rather clever had it been intentional. But alas, it was only an attempt to dismiss me with the label of right-wing shrill. A tactic I am again confident that our astute company will recognize instantly.
