Also sometimes animals will be fine on one food and suddenly develop a sensitivity to something in it (even if the food itself didn't change, the animal's system does).

Yes, I would be suspicious of that batch of food, at least. (Glad she has a vet appointment and that the rice & chicken seemed to help!)

Have you checked to see if there were any recalls on that particular brand of food?
