I'm sorry for your loss of Sammy, too. Heinz 57 variety is what their mix was.

A friend found both of them on a rooftop in San Antonio when we lived there. It has stormed and flooded, and I believe their mom (never found) drug them to safety. They had to be weaned by someone else's mommy cat, then came to our (already 2 cat family- yow!) as baby kittens. They were survivors, and thus named Mickey and Malloy (named after characters in "Natural Born Killers")
