13. I disagree with both of you on this.

The previous response was totally over-the-top, but it is not implied by the OP.

Israel is undergoing serious social and political problems at the moment, which are seriously harming significant sections of the population, and threaten the country's democracy. When a country's mainstream conservative party forms a formal alliance with the far right, then one has something to worry about. Indeed, when a country's mainstream conservative party forms an informal alliance with the far right, then one has something to worry about - e.g. Republicans and Tea Party! When a country facing economic disaster elects a significant number of far-rightists to Parliament, and starts to scapegoat minorities, then one has something to worry about. When a country's media and elements of its government start to demonize sick and disabled people as 'benefit scroungers' and hate-crime against disabled people increases as a result, then one has something to worry about. That last one is close to home!

I do not regard Israel, the USA, Greece or the UK as intrinsically evil but I think they all have problems that it's only right and indeed necessary to point out.
