4. I remember Russia Today reporting on the 2011 Russian protests.

RT being a really "reliable" source for people here (even though it reflects the right wing Russian oligarchy).

RT covered it, all right. They showed protesters breaking stuff and fighting police. And called the protesters "anti-government." Cute, right? Nevermind they were protesting because the elections were fixed.

Now, RT's coverage in Greece. Same makeup (the protesters are generally left-wing anti-authoritarians). But guess that they were labeled? "Anti-austerity protesters."

The language of propaganda is very delicate. Cuba has been able to narrow it down significantly (the Five Minutes Hate comes to mind).

It astonishes me how Putin / Russia get praise here on these forums when they are an ardently capitalist oligarchy. All because Russia feigns "anti-Americanism." Indeed, we had posters here posting pictures of United Russia and pictures praising Putin for fucks sake.
