Because of Christie - but they aren't looking at the big picture.
Look at the number of voters in 2008, the number in 2008 of Rep and Dem voters.
Then look at those numbers in 2009 (Gov's Race).
The number of voters over all were lower in 2009 than 2008.
IF we can mobilize and get folks to the polls in Newark and Northern NJ - then it's just plain out Democratic. If they don't get there - then it only leans.
In 08 I was driving people around over the border in PA to get them to the polls (got up early, voted, then drove the 35 miles west).
This year I will get up early, go vote (first time my fiance will be voting so it's a big deal for this brand new American man ) and then we are both going to get the elderly and infirm to the polls in the Newark Area.
Most of the people I know from the 2008 campaign are back in full force after sleeping at the wheel in 2009.
