When it was pointed out (by Craig Emerson, I think) that the carbon tax had not yet kicked in, she sat there with a stupid look on her face. She's just mouthing what she's heard from Abbott & Co., and knows nothing and understands less. There are a lot like her out there.

And isn't it strange how the people yelling the loudest seem to come from the highest economic demographic? "Oh my god, we're only on $260,000 a year, how are we going to pay for the loss of the health rebate?" "When you've got a house with twenty rooms, electricity costs a bundle. It's all Labor's fault".

And now TAbbott is promising a subsidy for these hard-done-by people so they can pay for their nannies.

It's a hard life ...
