General election endorsement proceedings
Special guests will speak about two of the issues on the general election ballot.
Seattle City Councilmember Tom Rasmussen will speak on Seattle Proposition 1, Seattle Transportation Benefit District.
On I-107 Seattle City Councilmember Tim Burgess will speak in favor of Proposition 1B and Laura Chandler of Small Faces, representing the Quality Pre-K for Our Kids campaign, will speak in favor of Proposition 1A.

Future programs and eventsOctober 8 Jaxon Ravens, chair of the Washington State Democrats, will talk about "the State of the National Democratic Party and Local Democrats." Also Justin Simmons will lead another discussion of revisions to the bylaws.
October 22 "What is TPP, How it Differs from NAFTA, and Why We Should Oppose it" features Dr Stan Sorscher and Gillian Locasico, president and campaign organizer respectively of the Washington Fair Trade Coalition, and Michael Righi, sustainable food advocate member of Community Alliance for Global Justice. November 4 Election Night Prefunc. Before you go off to celebrate with your favorite candidates stop by the Warwick Hotel at 401 Lenora, 5:00 - 7:00 pm. This preface to election night parties instituted by MDC members Peter Sherwin and Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes a few years ago and co-sponsored by the MDC and others is becoming a popular election tradition. No charge. Appetizers provided. Validated parking. Drinks at happy hour prices until 7:00 pm. This year Speaker Frank Chopp is also co-sponsoring.
