(143,630 posts)Kesha has no chance of winning the CD22. If this seat was competitive, then the Democrats could have recruited a real candidate who could have actually raised some funds. I had talked to one candidate who consulted with some good professional advisers who told him not to run. That was good advise that I could not argue with. KP was a really bad candidate and KP was in way above his head in this race. Neither KP nor Kesha have a chance of winning this race against Pete Olson in the current configuration for this district.
Ignoring Kesha will allow us to concentrate on getting straight ticket voting up in Fort Bend County and trying to win some county races where the Democratic candidate has a change. A very democratic section of Fort Bend County was put in CD9 for Al Green and the county as a whole is competitive for Democratic candidates and President Obama. The party is in effect going to pretend that Kesha does not exist and will focus on upping the number of straight party voters and helping real democrats win in Fort Bend County. Luckily, it will be really easy to ignore Kesha and her fellow cult members.
TBF-what are you going to do in Brazoria county?
