8. "Our State" magazine features NC barbecue

Our State is a great magazine for anyone with ties to North Carolina. This month, the cover story (36 pages) is on barbecue. While none of places featured are in Charlotte, they represent some of the best styles. I have eaten at all but one of these places, half of them in the last year or two.

If you come to the convention or for a visit, or if your people have been here forever, Our State is a wonderful read on things other than 'cue.
