recruiting someone who, they hope, can beat Franken.

And they know that Bachmann will never do so they are offering all kind of goodies in the House as a pre-emptive move. They don't need a repeat of other candidates that won primaries and ended up going down in flames.

The problem will be that even if she runs for the Senate, she will still keep the option of running for Congress. After all, didn't she say that win or lose - in the Presidential race earlier this year - she was not going to run for her Congressional seat? Oops, I suppose.

And if Paul Ryan can why not her? I really wish they drop those security blankets. Decide on an office and forget all others. This is the only good thing I can say about Pawlenty: he decided not to run/keep his governor office while seeking the Presidency.
