In reply to the discussion: Anyone else get a scam letter from "Delta" "skyrewards" [View all]distantearlywarning
(4,475 posts)21. Really funny!
I just got something about this in the mail yesterday, and put it into a search engine to see if it was a scam, and lo and behold the first thing that came up was this thread on DU!
Mine looked like a check for $1800, but on closer examination it said it was a voucher and I had to call a number. It was signed by a "Dina" Somebody (but not the last name listed up thread).
The logo looked just like Delta Sky Miles (which I actually am a member of), but there is no such thing as "Sky Rewards".
After reading this thread, I tore it up and threw it in the round file. Who sends scams via snail mail anymore? I thought that went out with the Nigerian dodo.

Delta's frequent flyer program is called "Skymiles" and not "skyrewards."

That's what I'm guessing. I showed it to my son as an example of what not to fall for. n/t

Yup. That's exactly what I got. This came after several post cards that we'd ignored.
