2. That's common around here. The last major wind storm ripped up thousands of bricks.

 

Trees toppled and took out the walkways with them. We've got a tree we pulled back up and it's still coupled to ropes and has studs propped against it. It was planted in a shallow bowl of clay (damn developers) and fell over two years ago. It seems healthy, but I don't think the root system can support it against wind yet. We might have to give it another three years before removing the support systems.
