The bathroom was a MAJOR cause for concern when I came home from my long stint in the hospital.

Insurance will usually pay for one device - get a walker - cane's are fairly inexpensive.

Still, go for the walker - most expensive device. The hospital should have put it on the bill.

On getting a walker, I would DEFINITELY go for the 4-wheeled type with a seat and brakes.
