Zappa got busted by the Jewish Anti-defamation League over this. He refused to apologize because, in a journalistic sense, he felt he was correct. Or he knew of a lot of examples where he was correct.

I prefer the song Catholic Girls, musically.

The "la-la-la" chorus was incorporated in to the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song. Lot of Zappa fans over at MST-3K.

PS - Keith Olbermann was a big MYStie, even guesting a bunch of them during his Countdown run. I miss Keith. He was my beacon of hope during the dark ages of GWB. Along with DU.
