The cops we see beating, maiming and killing citizens, have become infected by the corrupt system in which they must ply their trade. The twisted sociopathic behaviors we are seeingmore and moreoften from them, are but the obvious symptoms of the rot and cancer that lies above, below and all around them.
If we're ever going to free ourselves from the oppression of racism, it's only going to happen when we're strong enough to confront it, as we've seen a beginning of the process here. Once we do, reconciliation comes not just with apology, but when we forgive ourselves first by acknowledging our flaws. Because that is how we grow from them and evolve both personally and collectively.
