Yeah, well, that's how The Onion operates -- always baking a grain of truth within their satire.

Sometimes they do it so well that legitimate journalistic entities have mistaken their stories for truth -- up to and including the New York Times. But as you've demonstrated, the Onion accomplished its mission of exposing the bigger truth of Bachmann's ignorant, insane, potentially lethal rantings.
