15. The condition of the paperwork depends on how the mortgages were originated

Conventional mortgages lent by BofA branches are likely in very good shape.

Mortgages by Countrywide, not so much.

Mortgages by mortgage brokers, acquired via the wholesale operations of Countrywide and Merrill Lynch and then packaged and securitized are likely problems.
