(5,061 posts)Zimmerman: "...This guy looks like he's up to no good, or he's on drugs or something."
How could he make that determination?
Zimmerman: "It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about."
Oooh. That's really odd. Walking around, looking about. Probably some sort of criminal, because all criminals love to walk around and commit crimes in the rain.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy is he white, black, or Hispanic?
WTF? Really? What about Asians? Native Americans? How can you even tell if someone is Hispanic just by looking at them? And why is the very first thing the dispatcher does to make it a racial thing?
Zimmerman: Now he's just staring at me.
Yeah, of course he's staring at you. He's probably a little freaked out that some sketchy guy with a gun is stalking him.
Zimmerman: He's got his hand in his waistband. And he's a black male.
Because you can never point out enough that someone is black.
Zimmerman: Somethings wrong with him. Yup, he's coming to check me out, he's got something in his hands, I don't know what his deal is.
Of course there's something wroing with him! He probably senses you are up to no good! Oh, and by the way, what he has in his hands is a can of iced tea and some skittles. Just because you carry a gun everywhere doesn't mean everyone does, freak.
Zimmerman: Shit he's running.
Of course he's running! A man with a gun is stalking him! You'd run too.
How much more could Treyvon have done to avoid this confrontation? Here he is, literally running from an armed man. If Zimmerman really didn't bear any intent to harm him, this would have eneded there.
Zimmerman: The back entrance...fucking [unintelligible]
Actually, he says "coons." I'm pretty sure it's meant as a racial slur here.
Dispatcher: Are you following him? Zimmerman: Yeah
Dispatcher: Ok, we don't need you to do that.
But Zimmerman goes ahead and keeps on doing it.
Dispatcher: What's your apartment number?
Zimmerman: It's a home it's 1950, oh crap I don't want to give it all out, I don't know where this kid is.
Wait, why wouldn't you want to give your address to the police, I had thought you were calling because you were concerned about crime near your home? Oh, wait, thatt's right, you now have the notion to stalk and kill a boy, and you would prefer to remain anonymous.
Dispatcher: Okay do you want to just meet with them right near the mailboxes then?
Zimmerman: Yeah that's fine.
Dispatcher: Alright George, I'll let them know to meet you around there okay?
Zimmerman: Actually could you have them call me and I'll tell them where I'm at?
Sure, because he's not going to go to the mailboxes. He's still stalking the boy he plans to kill, so he cannot go to the mailboxes. He doesn't want to admit that he's doing that, though.
