4. The war crimes

committed by the Bush cartel go unpunished while the guy who exposed them is the victim of an immoral system. This is all part of the downfall. We are a morally deficient culture that's headed for extinction. You can only threaten with military power for a short time until the rest of the world says enough.
This whole Manning debacle is reflective of our failure as a nation to do the right thing. Bush's unchallenged war of aggression against Iraq in order to steal its resources was the event that demonstrated what a rogue nation we have become.
