I wonder if these are some of them.
I know that Macs are pricier, but I can tell you, from personal experience, that the MacBook Pro is well worth the money. It is so much better constructed than any of the competitors, that it's unbelievable. They are much more durable. I have one that I have been trudging to and from work for the past three years, and though the aluminum case may have a couple of dents in it, it still works fine.
I have owned PC laptops for many years, mostly Think Pads. Since Lenovo took over for IBM in the PC market, the quality of the product has suffered. The newest Lenovos are about par for their peers. The Apple line of laptops has no peers. It's constructed much more solidly.

Oh, and did I mention that I still support PCs with this machine. I run Windows in virtual machines, and it runs better than on a native Windows box. I'm sold on Apple's superior product. You may pay more, but you get what you pay for.
