it is always the staffers who are greedy, as it is their job they won't have when a new person comes in.
but remember- Lautenberg retired a few years back, and only because no one else could be found did he come out of retirement. He never planned on still being senator.
(it was because another whiner, Bill Bradley disappeared from the face of the earth after dribbling his basketball and leaving the arena like a spoiled little brat after 2000).

I have really mixed feelings on this one. Lautenberg is SOLID but he'll be 88 in 2014...
