I went to your 'source'. http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/index.cfm Nothing in there about welfare or anything else you stated in your post. In my state (AZ -- a welfare state to use your words) federal funds coming into the state go to service the national parks, the national forests, the Native American reservations, military bases, people on Social Security or other federal pensions. What exactly of these items is welfare???
