The solution, of course, is for those commies at Los Alamos to realize this is a free market, and that the free-er the market, the better. Any negative outcome is obviously due to an insufficiently-free market so we must deregulate-deregulate-deregulate!

Questioning the Divine Right of Maximized Profit could be treason. Do we really want these traitors in our National Laboratories just because they know this "science" stuff?
