52. What about MY guns?

I'm a staunch liberal, a former Marine, I've always had guns and never felt the desire to kill anyone or anything, but living in L.A. and with the numbers of home invasions, rape and murders having risen exponentially over the past few decades, there is no way I'm going to be unarmed when someone breaks my door down to kill me and my family. The gangs have all the most lethal weapons and I'm not allowed to purchase or own them here legally, so the fight is disproportionate from the get-go. Now the government wants to hand me rubberbands. I don't understand people who don't get that.
