Particularly Bill Frist.

Those who have been on the Eli Lilly payroll include:

Former President George Herbert Walker Bush (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors). Bush failed to disclose his Lilly stock and lobbied hard on behalf of Big Pharma - especially Eli Lilly.

A name from the past - former CEO of Enron, Ken “Kenny-Boy” Lay; at one-time, a member of the Eli Lilly board of directors.

George W. Bush’s former director of Management and Budget, Mitch Daniels (a former Eli Lilly vice president). Mitch Daniels, then a vice president at Eli Lilly, in 1991 co-chaired a fundraiser that collected $600,000 for the Bush-Quayle campaign.

George W. Bush’s Homeland Security Advisory Council member, Sidney Taurel (a CEO of Eli Lilly).

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (a recipient of Eli Lilly funding)

While working for Eli Lilly, fellow “Republican Family Values” kinda guy, Congressman Dick Armey, inserted into the Homeland Security bill on behalf of his pals at Lilly, a provision protecting Lilly from lawsuits on behalf of children stricken with autism after having thimerosal, their mercury-based vaccine, shot into their veins. According to LA Weekly, "Frist engineered the insertion." It was killed when the Federal Election Commission released a report that showed Eli Lilly's political action committee contributed more than $100,000 to GOP candidates shepherded by Frist.

Former Calif. Representative, Bill Thomas who, in 1979, roomed for a time with a fellow wad of ass, Georgia's freshman Representative Newt Gingrich, once chaired the House Ways and Means Committee making him the most important member of Congress on legislation related to health care, received from Eli Lilly $13,000 for his campaign war chest, making Lilly the number-one contributor among Thomas's long list of corporate backers.

Lilly then hired Deborah Steelman, George W. Bush's adviser on health care during the 2000 election campaign. She served with Thomas on a commission that laid out the scheme to replace Medicare with vouchers. And then.... The Bakersfield Californian reported that the Thomas and Steelman, then both married to others, were entangled in an intimate, "intensely personal" relationship with illicit romantic overtones. Yes; nothing screams "Republican Family Values" more than Republicans phucking their lobbyists for fun and profit!

Sweet! "Republican Family Values" kinda sweet!

In 2006 Eli Lilly got caught for encouraging primary care physicians to use Zyprexa, a powerful drug for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, in patients who did not have either condition.

I end my rant with Randall L. Tobias, a former Eli Lilly chief executive who, in 2007, was deputy secretary of state responsible for U.S. foreign aid. Tobias abruptly resigned after he was asked about an upscale escort service allegedly involved in prostitution. This was the same inquiry that nailed Senator David "Diaper Boy" Vitter. Deborah Jeane Palfrey, who operated the escort service, was indicted on federal racketeering charges, was convicted, and later hung herself to avoid going to prison. She was found by her mother. Vitter, with his "Family Values", was re-elected.

The company is filled with criminals not-yet caught.
