Really?

I'm not any kind of expert on India, but 2 of the 20th century's biggest novels about India, Scott's "the Raj Quartet" (actually 4 books) and Forster's "Passage to India" center around rape. One book is from the 1920's and one from the end of WWII. And written about the British in India. But rape back then was enough to write a bunch of books about.
