Because of the amazing line up, this show will be seen and money raised world wide, 200 TV stations outside the US. It will be shown live in theaters, streamed on the internet. Potential audience-2 Billion Donors.
Aside from all that, I just don't get why you are not harping on say, Alicia Keys who does bloody credit card commercials and all sorts of touring and is in the midst of a career that does involve still wanting to sell some units. I mean, do you really think the families harmed by the storm should get up on stage and beg for it? Or that nothing should be done?
And sure, 'some of us' will simply donate. That's what I meant by self righteous. But others will react to a show like this with huge donations. Others, who are of course not nearly as good as you or me....
