7. help me out

I'm a little confused by this. The idea that an employee would have the freedom to either join a union or not join a union...and therefore to pay union dues or not pay union dues...seems perfectly reasonable to me.

But I'm sure that argument dramatically oversimplifies things. What am I missing about the harm this law will do?
