43. The fact of the matter is that many priests are homosexuals. This was revealed in several studies.

Donald Cozzeens in his book "The Changing Facts of the Priesthood" said his investigation revealed that from 23% ot 58% were homosexuals. Other studies placed the percentage somewhat lower but well above the national average. One study revealed that 23% of younger priests where homosexuals. The Vatican was so alarmed by theise revealations that they conducted a 10 year investigation of seminaries and established programs to confront the problem. It is clear that the Catholic Church is in as much denial on this subject as it was on pedopllia or its ridiculous reistance to contraceptive birth control. (See Wikipedia for the sources)
