Countering the boys being brainwashed in madarassas with girls being enabled to go to school is a very strong foundation for peace there. Remember, those girls grow up to be the mothers of the boys in danger of being radicalized in the future.

You disagree with last years choices?

Have you looked at the impact she's having already? What she's inspired? The worldwide awareness she's created? Do you think Desmond Tutu nominated her for a peace prize last year on a whim?

Simply put, the Nobel Peace Prize is largely symbolic, and awarding it to Malala would be a very powerful message being sent to the enemies of peace in Pakistan, and anyone else who uses force against children for their own ends.
