13. I agree.
If republicans can't get their act together and start working with the "president", not the other way around with the president "having" to give in to republicans to get anything done, then I agree with you, they will lose big time come mid term elections, and as you said, they won't be able to recover in time for the 2016 elections.
The people want results, not more of the same old BS. If the house continues playing stupid games because the tea baggers want to act like spoiled children, then Boehner needs to get tough with them, period! If he can't get them to act like adults, then the republican party will be in shambles by 2016.
I actually look for a huge division, already the tea baggers are saying Romney lost because he wasn't conservative enough, when in reality he lost because he had to kiss up to the tea baggers then try and come back to the center, then even left of center to try and get elected, and that along with all his "LIES", sunk him! The majority of this country does not want to see a flip flopping, lying, tax cheating, multi millionaire who will take us back to the same old policies, and even more radical policies than Bush, that will help only the rich and cause more suffering for the rest of the country!
The rich were not able to buy this election, sure they got some of their radical nuts re-elected in the house, but they didn't get complete control like they wanted from the WH on down. The GOP ran a bunch of clowns this year in order to cater to the tea party nuts, and they lost. Maybe Boehner sees the writing on the wall, maybe not, but it's the republican party that will go down in flames, so they either work with the president and help fix this country, or they can fade into the sunset, it's their choice!
