Pardon me for being graphic, but the hair in your nostrils would freeze. You could hear it crackling as you inhaled/exhaled.
One night it took me 3 hours to take the 25-minute bus ride from Public Square back to my house in Lakewood. I had to trudge through hip-deep snow up the road after getting off the bus.
Builds character, though.

Is this unusual in the fall? We had some gusts up to 40 mph yesterday on the west coast with rain.

Years ago we were at a Lake Superior museum in the U.P. & that was the only song they played....
