19. and the SCOTUS should step in...but....will they?
A number of months ago, I sent this email to the SCOTUS. I have no idea if it helped or not, but was going to send an email to SC Justice Roberts, thanking him for his decision on 'Obama Care.' It showed that he 'really and truly' cared for 'we the people.'
As the Subject says: 'I Used To Trust And Have Respect For the united
states supreme court.' (the small case is NOT a typo). To use capital
letters, would indicate respect, of which I have NONE for the
I've been a Democrat since I was a teenager, and my father told me
that the Democrats were for the poor people, and the republicans
were for the rich. History has proven him right.
I also used to believe the supreme court was Untouchable, like Eliot
Ness and the Untouchables. (I'm sure some of you are old enough to
remember that). But tsc is FAR from Untouchable. The republicans
and the rich and super rich have finally reached your price and
bought you. I'm referring to the corporations being 'people' and
taking away health care for the poor, tuasc fiasco.
(I researched and found the info below).
What is the term of office for US Supreme Court justices?
Supreme Court justices serve "during good behavior," which means
"for life" or until they choose to resign or retire, as long as they don't
commit an impeachable offense (bad behavior).
The nine Supreme Court justices hold their offices "during good
behavior" according to Article III, Section 1, of the US Constitution.
This means that they may hold office for life; however they may be
involuntarily removed from office by impeachment for and
conviction of treason, bribery or other high crimes and
misdemeanors, the same as the President.
'THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW!'
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
