12. More important than competency and likeability is trustworthiness

A majority of respondents may feel Romney is better equipped to handle economic issues but that's not the same as feeling he will use those skills to the country's benefit. I think the likeability issue is not as important as the trustworthy issue, on which the president has a 47-39 lead. It doesn't matter how capable a candidate is, voters need to be able to trust them.
