(13,771 posts)79. "Made in the USA" could mean made in sweatshops in the Mariana Islands.
These are the famous sweatshops that Tom DeLay and Jack Abramoff supported, where young women were held in locked in dormitories and forced to work long day, 7 days a week, sexually assaulted with no recourse, and received very little pay.
Yet they were entitled to put "Made in the USA" on the items they manufactured.
