Aside from viewing certain visual links (e.g., the tsunamis -- which can now be seen in shortened form on YouTube) can't imagine why anyone would subject themselves to such idiocy.

Turn it off. There are far better ways to inform yourself, methods which don't rot your mind or ulcerate your innards.
