2. He was a pretty good guy who paid back the community
for all the good things he got after his nightmarish childhood. He just had his demons and tried to numb them with booze and drugs.
He was a real hero to a lot of people here in town, someone who took his childhood rage and turned it into something positive, a career in boxing. The sport probably allowed him to live as long as he did before either drugs got him or his heart gave out from years of cocaine.
He'll be missed.
