10. The students in Montreal have been on strike for over 120 days.

They wear red squares of cloth signifying that when they graduate, they will be squarely in the red, in debt. They are fighting an 82% tuition hike planned over the next five years. They don't pay very much, but that's the point. If they don't strike, they'll end up facing fees such as we do.

The Montreal government has enacted a law called Bill 78 which makes protesting illegal.

The students were immediately joined by large numbers of supporters, banging pots and pans in solidarity, or "casseroles", as the pans are called in French.
