48. The NRA does ask for money all the time.

But the membership does hold them accountable. When Bill Ruger suggested compromise, donations dropped. When Joaquin Jackson advocated magazine limitations, donations dropped.

Lots of NRA members do disagree with their policy. Lots belong because their range requires membership or includes NRA membership in their dues. The NRA is a single issue advocracy group - defense of the second amnedment.
