70. I LOVE Colorado Springs

It's where I grew up during the 1960s. It seems just like yesterday when thousands of people lined Nevada Avenue where I lived to see John F. Kennedy's motorcade drive through town. It stopped right in front of my house and I was standing just a few feet away from him when he rose from his open car to thank the people. Just a few months later he was killed. I'm certainly no libertarian. My best friend in grade school, Mike, was very liberal. There are nuts living everywhere. There are probably more right wing nuts living in southern California where I now live. I'd like to go back and visit Colorado Springs some day as it's close to my heart.
