DUer Douglas Carpenter passed away yesterday... [View all]

Doug had been fighting cancer for the past year and was hospitalised mid January with pneumonia. His last post at DU was about being hospitalised. One of his friends posted on FB that he passed away. I figure some of you who supported Doug when he posted here about the cancer and who don't have him on FB may not know yet, so I thought I should come out of DU retirement and let you know. I met Doug at DU down in the I/P forum and he quickly became one of the people I respected most at DU. I loved his passion for politics and his knowledge and stuff...

My sympathy goes out to his family and friends. RIP Doug...
