"Do Not Get Mad, Get Organized" (Obama's Organizing Quote) [View all]

I am not a very prolific poster. But, this site is such a beacon and refuge from the right wing madness that it is unique amongst the supporters of America as a multi-cultural democracy. Clearly, the results of this impeachment trial are hard to accept given the superb job the House Managers did in laying out the evidence. As such, it might be opportune time to use disappointment to make Republican politicians pay for their fealty to Trump and failure to uphold their duty as required by the Constitution of the United States of America.

There are quite a few Democratic and left leaning organizations doing separate things to pay for advertising to hold these people accountable. Would it be possible, in the spirit of efficiency and effectiveness, to work collaboratively with these organizations to fund tangible, old school billboards, in each congressional district and state with the message and imagery that makes it clear that some of these traitorous Republicans voted to prevent the certification of the election and acquitted a dictator of a coup against the government of the United States of America? One of the problems with our country is that people are all tuned into different channels and sources of information. As such, the old school method of highway billboards might be as effective as anything digital.

It might be possible to fund a campaign of this type through some tool like Go Fund Me, Indiegogo (https://www.indiegogo.com/start-a-campaign#/), or another crowd source funding tool. The locations of the billboards could be identified by consensus of local folks who know the routes and visibility. The imagery has to be consistent, repeatable and instantly recognizable (branding). It is has to go on long enough to be effective too. So, it would be very expensive.

This is just an idea to consider in the aftermath of what we knew was likely to happen with this impeachment trial. The House Managers did a fabulous job with the evidence. However, the jury was rigged and ignored it. Now, the co-conspirators want to put it behind them and move on. We "collectively" need to make sure they never live this down for the rest of their political lives.
